Great post, Scott, and great discussion on two of the major kinds of online monetization. I think it would be great to do some future posts on other less common ways an Internet business could be monetized, say by selling a service, product, ebooks, sponsorships etc. There's probably a wide variety of means that could be discussed and, as you said, often a mixture of these is probably the key to a successful online business.
