E-mail marketing is a double edged sword. The fact that you CAN send e-mails to hundreds of people doesn't mean you SHOULD...especially if they don't want them. Try a social media approach first to identify prospects, have them sign up for a newsletter and THEN consider followup e-mails. You're marketing campaign will be much more effective if people want to receive your message.
