I like British humor, but sometime Monty Python is over the top! ;) The "Norwegian Blue Parrot" sketch is hilarious.

Do you have examples of other product placements? I haven't seen the movie Sex in the City 2, but I bet that they have several products lined up. I remember a Perrier truck in a James Bond movie.

You can't beat a bit of Monty Python. Don't really like that sketch but it is definitely one large chunk of free publicity.
