I don't think we've really ended the first one... Much of the "recovery" has been in the financial sector; there's also alot of media propaganda happening these days. (Remember how long it took the media outlets before they actually labeled our economic situation as a "recession"?)

The truth is the economy is still very much in dire straights, and many of the European economies aren't looking much better.
