Kellie - Nice advice. I would also add one more to it - Do not mix personal and business expenses in one account. This can raise scrutiny with IRS and can get you in lot of trouble. Maintain separate accounts and ensure the expenses are tracked properly in both.

Great article. I think is very important to track your monthly expenses. That way you know where you stand within your business and if it's profitable enough, if at all.
