With that being said, how do you as the owner of a company handle your payroll needs? Do you have someone in your office who oversees the dispensing of paychecks and other compensation needs, or do you have an outside agency handling such matters?

Hi Dave,

I can see the value in both approaches. I guess it really comes down to where your strengths lie. Doing this in-house could take away valuable time you or your staff should be spending on other projects. On the other hand an inside team could give you exactly what you want with some added control. Thanks to Sian for sharing this post with the BizSugar community.

I seriously dont know how professionals keep up to date with changes in taxes, laws and reliefs with relation to pay-roll and employees. It's a minefield.

I think outsourcing anything should be reviewed on a regular basis and not given the "out of sight - out of mind" treatment.
