Inspiration is a fickle thing. It comes effortlessly when you aren’t running after it. At other times, you might think that it’d be easier finding Polar bears in Australia. Whether you’re struggling to come up with great ideas for your ads, blog posts, emails, or even products … we all know how daunting and painful a white piece of paper can be.

So, to help you overcome your creative hold-up, to get you over that hump, here are four proven and never-ending sources of great ideas.

I'm on Quora ( http://www.quora.com/Ivan-Widjaya ) and I SHOULD be more active on MyBlogU (sorry, Ann!) These tools are GREAT for tapping ideas and opinions (great for blogging, IMO!)

I haven't used Myblogu but I am using Viralcontentbuzz and that is working well to getting great ideas in different niche. Thanks for sharing this post Erik.

Erik: Have you used Quora? Could it be an idea to use as a parallel to my book writing? Asking and answering questions on tea?

I didn't know about TrendDemon.

Yes, Martin, I use Quora now.

I created an account a long time ago, but never started using it.

I recently "discovered" the potentialities of Quora.

You can get nice connections there, by showcasing your knowledge. Plus, you may increase your authority, by answering to questions of users.

It can be also used to get new "ideas".

Just enter your keywords on search box and hit enter, to discover related topics.

And you can add your questions too, of course!

I'm running TrenDemon on my blog and find it very useful. It does increase engagement and reduce bounce rates.

The beauty of MyBlogU is that anyone can use it. Even if you know absolutely no other writers online, you can source experts and quotes to take your content to the next level. Journalists use quotes to add authority to what they write; now everyone else can, too - thanks to MyBlogU.

Could podcasters use it too?

I've tested TrenDemon a while ago, I guess I need to dig more into it.

I'm a fan of MyBlogU.

It lets you create connections easily, while sharing your expertise and with the chance to being featured around blogosphere.

I use it with constant regularity, the same I devote to build new relationships.

It's a great collection of ideas. I need to write a post on this topic, too.

If you need a good title for that new post, David, here's a tool you can use:
