Is evil a fashionable and convenient label?

Evil became a fashionable word in the West after 9/11. Calling something evil is easy because then there is no need to look at why it happened. Do you agree with me that it’s time to stop hiding behind the convenient label evil and start, again, looking at the reasons behind, identify the problems and try to find solutions to improve society and prevent further problems?

Thought-provoking, as always, Catarina.

Years ago, it occurred to me that all the centuries-old Werewolf & Vampire myths must have arisen because most people lived in small, tightly-knit communities. No member of their community could possibly rip another apart - it Had to be a monster. That was the only explanation they could face.

p.s. I do laughingly remember Dick Cheney (on TV) saying that the Iraqis would throw down their arms as soon as the ground troops followed-up the initial Shock & Awe campaign.
