9.00 am in Karlsruhe, Germany:
The elevator takes us hundreds of feet above the ground. As the doors open, we realize that we’re trapped: There is no floor to step on. The only way out is via a thin wooden plank leading directly into the abyss. Above, a sign says: “It’s a good day to overcome your fears.”
The adrenaline rush takes over as we line up to step on the wobbly plank. The more adventurous ones take the plunge as they reach the end.
Others huddle in the corner of the elevator, too overwhelmed to even look down. But once the VR goggles come off, everyone agrees: What a way to tackle your fear of heights!
