The only way you can see higher conversion rate from the same landing page is by making changes in the body copy. Yeah it might sound crazy but it is the words that decide the fate of a landing page. You may love it or hate it, it is your choice but there is no denying of the fact that unless the write-up is compelling, creative and powerful, your landing page will always be struggling to eke out a living.
Movers and shakers of the world of online marketing have already accepted the importance of having persuasive content on the landing page to be able to see a marked difference in the conversion rate. I personally believe that writing a sales copy is nothing but an art and so, if you wish to improve your art of writing persuasive content, you need to learn neuroscience and behavioral psychology.

There is this guy named Mat Cutts that says "providing real value to the reader will definitely increase your chances of conversion". So that along with many of the points you outline will get you on your way to higher conversions.

I think point number two should read "Do not Speak Like A Salesman Any of the Time." Sites that sound salesy send me clicking elsewhere...always!
