True, Dan - it IS annoying, and it's malingering, but it's been going on long before cell phones got popular. Before then, co-workers just tied-up the regular business line with their personal calls. The smokers (when it was still allowed during work hours), even felt entitled to a 5 minute break every 15 minutes, or 2-3 10 minute breaks an hour - to support their habit. All the non-smokers had to work - only the smokers needed & were allowed the breaks.

thanks Duncan, for you comment,

i would have seriously complained if a smoker got a break, let alone non-smoker denied the same prevellege.

However, your comparison is actually very good, it looks like the cell phone has become the new cigarette... and it surely does a lot of damage to the health anyway... all that radiation and stuff...
