Why training should be the last thing you cut

An organization I’m familiar with anticipated doubling its size within a year and, in order to manage the change that growth would bring, put in a new layer of management. I agree that training with our employees must be the last to cut. It is evident that trainings can really cost a lot but we must always remember that if we have the best people in our company, it can uplift our products, sales and our marketing and the best turnover of it will be increase number of investors.

Like any other investment you make in your company, deciding on training, even in economic good times, requires you to decide whether the particular training being offered is a priority for your business or not. More information will always be helpful, but is the training being offered a worthwhile use of money and time for your employees and yourself? Just as you should never abandon all training just because of fiscal concerns you should never say yes to training without considering the value you hope to gain from the experience versus the cost.Don't simply assume you need training or that you don't. Just make sure any training is valuable and addresses your current needs.
