Arguments from lawmakers often portray employees as victimized and in need of assistance as the reason for heavy amounts of labor and other regulations placed on business. While business owners frequently complain about the expense, the general perception may be that this is largely self-interest on their parts. But ultimately, what will happen if regulations become too harsh? Who will be hurt when the business owner decides the business is no longer profitable and it's time to pack it up?

Incidentally. it's a lot less complicated to open a restaurant here in Florida. There are fewer permits and regulations, but that's due to state regulations.
