I really liked the inspirational message of this article. I agree with you that there is a time and a place for risk; it is after all one of the driving forces which make the business wheels go round and round. I do, however, feel that responsibility needs to go along with that risk to an incredible high degree. Unnecessary, uncalculated and uneducated risk are some of the reasons for some of the serious economic problems we currently face. I guess I liken it to the skier whom you mentioned. The downhill race can be downright dangerous, perhaps even deadly for those without proper expertise. Risk-taking is a necessary factor, but it needs to be left in the hands of those with the wisdom and knowledge to recognize that one possible outcome of risk can be ruin.
