My question is how can you make sure you are creating the kind of environment where employees really feel they can be honest about feedback? I'm sure many employers believe they are creating this environment. But can you every really be certain? I'd love if you could answer this question in the comment section on BizSugar for the benefit of our entire community.

Thanks for the question. When managers are working in a culture where employees have become disengaged, the culture will exist where trust and fear may be present. It will take time for the manager-employee relationship to heal. Trust can be earned back through actions. Good results can come from an honest effort by management.
