Teddy Roosevelt used his “bully pulpit” to influence people and focus attention on important issues. Find out how (and why) you should use your own “pulpit” of sorts to lead and reward your team.

Devan: Thanks for your input. I wonder which business sector / company is great with this kind of recognition. The employee of the month in a 1 to 1 meeting?

I hadn't heard about the "bully pulpit" before. I have to read more about the origin of the word. A written thank-you note is a nice gesture. It could be easy to forget to send out these symbolic gestures on regular basis, due to the fact that the daily worklife is "coming in the way"... Thanks for sharing this important lesson.

You bet! Simple recognition in staff meetings or meeting with an employee 1-1 can have a great affect on them as well to build them up. Thanks, Lyceum!
