In business it is easy to over-commit on tasks simply because there is poor visibility of how much time you have already committed to tasks and therefore how much available time there is for any new tasks. The Matryoshka todo list aims to address this problem in an elegant way.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I am a simple guy and so I like simple concepts, hence the containers and "sand".

For the task planning system you mention. Are you talking about only Kanban or do you mean some adaptation of Kanban? If the latter, what would be the goal for the adaptation?

I mean some adaption of Kanban called personal kanban, used for your personal and business workflow. Have you read the book on this topic?

Trello is a good visualizer of this concept.

Do you have tips on a simple task planning system with the overview of a personal kanban workflow? It is easy for a small business owner to end up with never-ending tasks during the day, and soon is the glass overflowing with "sand"... ;) Thanks for sharing your take on getting things done, with illustrations of dolls and glass containers.

Hi Lyceum,

what is the title of the book? I had a look at Trello but the format is quite common with columns for "To Do", "Doing", "Done", etc.
