Wow!! You've neatly summed up what I and many others feel! Even hospitals have voice messages - to start with, and in inside many departments. Guess what - the elderly don't like voice messages - they want to talk to a living person! SNL did a bit this (35th) season w/Sigourney Weaver playing herself - she & her husband had guests, but she spent the whole time checking on fan reviews of "Avatar", totally ignoring company.
