Have you surveyed your employees to see if they would recommend their own company? It may be time. Your employees are the ultimate consumer for your brand, its purpose, its promise. They are the ones who first must 'buy' it. Without their purchase...who will deliver it to the 2nd-tier of customers, the ones who buy your products?

There's a great new ad that I saw where a person approaches the loan officer and says they are switching to a competitor. They debate a bit and then the loan officer says, "but Pam, you work here..." I don't have her name right, but you get the idea. If your employees buy elsewhere, that's a problem! Amanda has it right: Bad sign...
