BigMoney:

I was once a mentor. While in college in the States, I was a Big Brother to a single-parent kid in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. The kid had been in a shitload of trouble and was considered high-risk. About two months in, the kid was busted for selling drugs and ended up in juvenile lock-up. Perhaps my mentoring skills were lacking though I thought I was doing a pretty good job.

That sad episode aside, being a mentor and having a mentor in business can be of great value. I always though and dreamed that my Little Brother would become an airline pilot, attorney or doctor. I wonder where he is now?

Nice article!

Hi Yoni,

Good relationship really matters between the mentor and its subject. because if the bond is not there they both will all be going to two different directions.

Regarding your little brother, he certainly has a bright ending, so you don't have to worry much.
