I, like Sherry, have a very neglected LinkedIn account. She's right, leads do come from anywhere, and this is important for anyone in online business.

Just the other day, a client referral from another outlet said, "I'm going to add you to my network on LinkedIn!" and I was thinking, "Okay... yay?" but I'm really starting to see I need to leverage the power.

I found a new service, Mixtent, that allows you to vote anonymously on your network contacts there to judge your talent, so that may be another valuable tool to help people work with LinkedIn.

I really found this interesting! I've had a LinkedIn profile for ages, but I don't really use it. As a freelance writer, it just didn't seem relevant. This made me think in a new direction and remember something I have overlooked...that gigs can come from anywhere and connections are king. ALL of my best jobs have come from associations made on twitter, so I may be ignoring a huge potential revenue stream. Thanks!
