Great stuff Karl! Even with a website most of this info pertains. Our company is always looking to expand our newsletter base. I think I will approach my manager today and speak to her about discounts for subscribers. Not instant or at a store, as it is services that we offer not products, but I feel future discounts might be a great incentive for clients to sign up now. I appreciate your advice!

Great article. I think this is going to be an increasing trend as the definition or even need for a website changes. I'm thinking Linkedin and Facebook, off the top of my head, may make corporate and personal notions/needs for a website obsolete. And building an email list off these "outposts" is just as easy.
