Adam: Yeah, I think it is good to mix up things a bit now and then regarding your reading pattern. I have started several books and I have to compile a list for this summer and check them off. Right now, I am reading:

Guide to Investing in Gold & Silver - Michael Maloney

Risky is the New Safe. The Rules Have Changed. - Randy Gage

Colonel Sanders and the American Dream - Josh Ozersky

The Republic of Tea - Mel Ziegler, Patricia Ziegler and Bill Rosenzweig

iPhone Millionaire. How to Create and Sell Cutting-edge Video - Michael Rosenblum

+ the books listed on my site, EGO Sole Trader. I have used Amazon's book gallery as a visual element on my site.

Adam: I can relate to your book reading pattern. I have plenty of business books to go through all the time. I will take some time this summer and read a few fiction books.

Adam: I haven't really read much by Douglas Adams, but maybe I should do it as summer reading? ;)

Written by adamjayc

Martin,

You could do!

I haven't read much by Douglas Adams either, I've been meaning too but my reading is usually dominated by marketing related books .. each time I get to the bottom of the pile I end up topping it up with more.

Adam Connell: I found out about your impressive compilation of answers by experts via BizSugar. I have been blogging since 2002 and I am still learning new "secrets"! ;) Is 33 a "magic" number? ;)

Martin,

Thanks for checking out the post and leaving a comment.

I think we'll all be learning new 'secrets' no matter how long we've been doing this for, things change a lot for us bloggers and there's always space for new ideas.

Any number can be magic, it just needs the right ingredients ;)

What is your most unknown secret for improving reader engagement?

Written by adamjayc
4172 days ago

I wouldn't say this is the most unknown but there are still a lot of people that still don't 'get it' - the blogging community is full of people that do 'get it', but in a lot of other niches and industries, most don't.

The thing that has worked best for me is helping people.

This could be in the form of linking out to someones post, sharing someones content, getting them featured on another site ... anything that helps them out.

This is the foundation for a great relationship.

Take me and Devesh for example, he first asked me to include a link to one of his posts in a post and I did.

He shared my content and linked to me in a guest post from a big site.

Now we share each others stuff and help each other on a regular basis - it's helped us both and this type of thing makes such a big difference.
