@Lyceum, you've probably seen so many people or businesses who start but don't follow through. You need to do some real planning to get an e-newsletter out on a regular basis, but the payoff can be huge.

A couple to check out: Chris Brogan, http://ownermag.com/nl/ and Ilise Benun, http://marketing-mentor.com/quick-tips

Emily: You are right about this! I will do some real planning and start out with an e-newsletter / bulletin, starting end of this year. I am thinking of having a news section, a podcast and a visual element in the material.

Thanks for the links! I will check them out!

I wonder if these are the truths that have preventing me from starting an electronic newsletter! ;) Could you list some solopreneurs that have created great newsletters? Christopher S. Penn's Almost Timely newsletter is a great inspiration, with a mix of social media, "marketing over coffee" (tea in my case), funny stuff, etc.
