Savannah - Great article. This is what great companies like Apple do. I particularly like #1 and #4. You have to interact with them on a regular basis and listen to their feedback. This will help make your product better and make your customers feel better. Also, you don't have to give monetary reward for their effort. Recognizing them in front of others or giving simple Thank You can go a long way.
