There are some great common sense ideas here. Mentioning not only influencers but others in your oommunity is so critical to success -- and why anyone would BUY followers at this point is beyond me.

I think that it's a sort of 'social proof' thing. $5 to make you seem like more of an expert than you are is a small price to pay, BUT it's not fooling anyone. :-)
