Totally agree. The price of a product or service is in the eye of beholder (customer). It is never a good idea to compete on price. You need to understand and explain the value you provide and relate that to the price customer is paying. It also helps to build a brand reputation that helps you charge premium. Luxury makers and Apple in particular are expert at this.
