The risk that they face though is that they may mistake that particular type of marketplace (high supply, low demand) with the actual market for their type of service.
While gaining experience and samples when just starting out is very important, my hope is that aspiring freelancers look beyond these crowded directories and learn how to market their services in a way that doesn't rely on being the lowest bidder.
