You work hard to bring readers to your blog, it only makes sense to keep them coming back for more. It is, after all, easier to keep readers than to bring in a constant flow of new readers to your blog.

All great points with having great content being the most important here. Getting readers, customers etc. to return again and again should definitely be a major goal.
