Shannon: Where is the XOXO store located? Is the XOXO brand in the same category as Victoria Secret? I will be involved in a new business venture that is in the clothing field, so it is interesting how a brick and mortar store could drive traffic to the web shop. Would you classify this activity as guerrilla marketing?

Hi, Lyceum! This happened at their NYC store a few years back. I would definitely qualify this as a guerrilla marketing tactic and think it's a great way for a brick-and-mortar shop to grab a lot of attention fast.

Shannon Willoby: I like the bold movement by XOXO. I wouldn't mind doing this kind of window shopping! ;) This marketing tactic involves attention, interest and desire, but will it result in action, i.e., more sales?

Haha you and many others I'm sure! :) It drove quite a bit of extra traffic to XOXO’s site, so you’d think they’d see a bump in sales as well. Especially since the girls in the apartment were wearing clothes and lingerie from XOXO’s own line! Seems like a great way to highlight your products, but would be interested in knowing their exact numbers. Thanks for your comment!
