Interesting, Chris, but if a video is basically a talking head, isn't it closer to audio than to a visual experience that illustrates what's being said? Wouldn't it be more like a podcast at about 20% recall?

The key is (I may have forgot to add this) use visual information if you can. Graphs and such. Also, if you can show how your product works, you will remember that far more than if I tell you how to. For example, there's a company in Calgary that builds decks for homes. They posted a video on their site on how easy it is to put a deck together. That will be remembered far more than someone telling you how to put a deck together.
