With Chinese medicine they look for and treat the cause of problem rather than just treating symptoms.By finding and treating the cause it can stop the problem recurring which is what we want isn't it?This way of treatment can also be applied to small business marketing problems or challenges.

This is a very important lesson. Throwing money at a problem by advertising more or cutting prices are often easy knee-jerk reactions to a fall in sales but taking time to find the real cause of the problem is a much better approach. Of course, it is often easier said than done.

You are right Alastair that it is often easier dais than done. I guess what I have learnt is to be aware of what your sales trend should be and also take a moment and ask Why is this happening before reacting.
