Sometimes, what you do is done as well as it can be done. It's a service that people truly love, or a product they can't live without. You're doing everything right, but it's not remarkable, at least not in the sense of "worth making a remark about."

What's up with that?

Kudos! This goes for more than just WOM. I think that before starting any company you should ask if it has some type of natural marketing advantage. That is, does it lend itself to word-of-mouth or easy publicity or even direct mail (i.e., an easy to identify and reach market is better than one that requires a wide market mailing list). If you don't have a natural advantage, expect to spend a lot on marketing.
