A few years ago, the idea that company culture affects the bottom line was a radical notion. These days, it’s generally accepted.

According to a July 2013 working paper by three researchers at the Harvard School of Business, companies that take long-term approaches to so-called “sustainability” issues – including employee satisfaction – outperform firms that don’t.
