Ivan: I hope that marketing will become more social and less pushy in the future. In a way, Hollywood is a lost case until the culture is getting into a paradigm shift.

Ivan: What would you say about the statement that most of the Hollywood movies are fluff and that they use marketing in a pushy way? I am not a movie buff, so I have to rely on friends that are into the cinema field. I don't really watch trailers, except for movies that I have been suggested to watch by trusted sources.

I'm not sure about the pushy way, as marketing in general tends to be pushy :) But I agree that Hollywood movies are typically fluff. Fluff sells :)

Fantastic piece. I think that movie marketing is some of the best kind of marketing. they do such a great job of sparking interest in the film and they always seems to pull it off in the end.
