Mass marketing (or undifferentiated marketing) refers to the extensive exposure of product advertisements to a significant number of consumers. It is often known as the opposite of Niche Marketing wherein products or services are advertised to a specific market. In undifferentiated marketing, the target market appears to be a section of consumers identified via research. The market however, is the one that most likely purchases the product or service. Few examples of products aimed for undifferentiated marketing includes toothpaste, bread, soda and household cleaners.
