What is the true meaning of a strategy?

I definitely had to write a post about a strategy. It is unbelievable how many people have no idea what strategy is and why it really matters.

So, here it is, guys, a short and introductory description:

A strategy is a core, the backbone, the bottom line of everything a company does

What do companies like Nike, Apple, EasyJet, Starbucks, Red Bull, Airbnb, Coca-Cola, IKEA, have in common?

That’s right, they all have a great strategy.

I like the chess game illustration. Strategy is to think ahead and see different outcomes, draw parallels from fundamental ideas and history, and apply these ideas on your long term strategy and align them with your tactics and daily worklife.

I am curious to hear more about your book writing. I am an aspiring author, writing books on tea. My main focus is this topic.
