The other day I clicked on 4 banner ads on my iPhone's RottenTomatoes app, 3 went to non-mobile websites and the 4th for Tide went to a French mobile website. I guess P&G thought everyone in Canada speaks French. Parlez vous Anglais?

This is probably a worthwhile thing to think about when you do Google Adsense or other similar advertising especially if you're not directly controlling where those ads are served. Advertise with a link that doesn't lead to a site optimized for mobile and you could be throwing your money away.

This is true Heather, sometimes it is the ad distributor that does not make the difference between desktop or mobile web landing pages. Having said that, the business doing the ad campaign should prepare for such eventuality with a simple mobile sniffer and a redirect to the proper mobile landing page.
