Shannon: Sound reply! "Don't feed the trolls, let them starve..." They are parasites.

Really nice article, and completely true, if you're into a business that deals with a lot of customers you're bound to get negative feedback. And even if the customer is not always right, as you say, never ever let him know that, it will definitely hurt more than it helps.

Shannon - Agree with everything you said. I would also advise people not to engage in war of words with the negative comment providers. This will only hurt you as a business owner. Once you have responded to the comment in an appropriate manner do not get into the fight or arguments. This is what many of the commenters are looking for in many cases.

Yes, I totally agree. There are definitely people out there who are just looking for a fight and are hoping to get a bad reaction out of you so you have to choose your words carefully and know when it's time to just not reply.

Shannon: I am sorry to hear about the story with the person freaking out on you. More power to you! I am trying to avoid the trolls and negative people, but I will stand up for my values and defend my right to free speech.

The customer is not always right, and it boils down to the voluntarily exchange of products and services on a free market. It is time to apply the trader principle in the daily business life.

You are right, Lyceum. Always best to avoid the trolls because they are just looking to get a reaction out of you.
