Sean: Podcasting has been around for more than 10 years. The popularity of smartphones have increased the opportunities to listen to podcasts in an easy way. A busy small business owner could listen to a podcast during a commute on a bus, a walk with the dog, doing dishes, etc.

I will be talking about future trends in podcasting at a conference in beginning of the next year.

It's amazing that podcasting is still around, but people listen to podcasts, and it doesn't look like they're going to stop doing so.
