When I was 15, I met a guy at school who eventually became my friend. We had a lot in common, especially in the area of music. One day, I was invited to his home after school. When I walked through the door, his older brother was sitting in a chair in the living room playing the guitar. I was immediately fascinated and wanted to learn how to play. I started visiting frequently on the weekends and started learning to play. I was so obsessed that my parents bought me a guitar and a small practice amp. And so I played, and played, and played. I haven’t stopped since, and that was 27 years ago.

Awesome piece, Ken!

I loved how you tied your musical experience in with blogging and publishing; it's so true.

Ya' know, I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano "professionally." I can amateurly play okay, certain tunes here and there; but I've yet to master the two hand coordination that's needed to really make the keys sing. The passions there, just needs to be cultivated.

Again, great write up. And thanks a bunch for the mention and compliment; totally appreciate it. :)

Ti,

Thank you. It's my pleasure. Music does take dedication and practice. There are many times that I've sacrificed some things that I wanted to do, and did what I felt I had to do, just to get better at it. The parallels with music and blogging are just too obvious not to tie the two together for me. It's my passion.

Ken
