Blog commenting should be used to build relationships. The whole link building strategy doesn't work at all anymore.

I remember reading a similar articles not long ago, and then I first met the thought of the importance of a gravatar. Since then I have added it and it for sure help the amount of comments I write on other blogs to get approved. I also agree with mark that a user should use a real name, and not a keyword name. What you write about the length of a blog comment is also very true! It must contain some useful input and add value to the article! Thanks again!

Before leaving comments on a blog, its always good to have a goal in mind. What do you want to achieve with the comment? is it just to get backlinks, to build relationship with the blog owner or simply just to comment? these and more are the things you need to figure out because, it will enable you to know how your comment should appear.
