Compensation for writers is very important. I have been a writer once and I try to stick with someone who knows how to compensate for the work I've done for them. Sometimes I go the extra mile if my client has been very good to me.

This is a great post. I am a writer for some sites plus an editor for others so I see both sides of the coin so to speak. For me an editing job is correcting little typos or errors - not re-doing or re-formatting a whole post. Educating in the beginning is key I think and you have described how simply above.
