Organizing a business conference from the ground up can be quite a challenge. It’s possible for the planning of such an event to take a couple of years, depending on the scale of the gathering. However, smaller events can be organized in much less time if you follow a few simple steps.

What is ITB standing for?

FYI: There are plans for arranging a new podcast conference in Gothenburg, in 2020. It will be according to the "unconference" model, but it could have traditional features including too.

I have an idea regarding podcasting and hotels... ;)

All the Best,

Martin

ITB stands for Internationale Tourismus-Börse - and one of their main events is arranged in Berlin every year around March. They have events also in Asia, China and India. It is a huge event that attracts a lot of people from the Hospitality, Travel and Tourism Industry.

Gothenburg is an awesome city. It is a while since the last time I been there.

Sounds like an interesting podcast idea there :)

Are: Good to hear. We could talk more about future events in the future. I have my personal opinion on some travel destinations in the world.

Best Premises,

Martin

Sounds great. I look at events both here in the US, Asia, and Europe. ITB in Europe is high on my list. But I have a couple of events I been invited too there. So I see where I end up going..

Are: I like the concept that you as a participants have the opportunity to share your knowledge to others. I arrange a meetup on podcasting and one meetup on tea. Which is your favorite conference at the moment?

Meetups are fun, and especially when you get the chance to meet local businesses. But I really enjoy the larger Hotel/Travel events. There are some upcoming events this fall in Dubai that I am targeting. Will see how that works out. But I love to travel and visit Hotels.

Are: Have you attended a unconference ("knytkonferens" = potluck conference in Swedish)?

Hi, Martin. Not been at any unconferences yet. Attended several meetups which sometimes is not that different. But I prefer the more organized events myself..
