Nicole: You post on LinkedIn, is giving me arguments for my potential clients, to start blogging! I have given this recommendation for years: start blogging! On my main business site (in English), I have been blogging 1-2 times per month, with some blog breaks now and then, since 2010. On my new business site in Swedish, I blogged by embedding podcasts episodes for about 50 days in a row, as a meme created by a business blogger and social media expert. A blog post could be a photo with a description, an audio file with show notes, etc.

I will check out the Hubspot's study in order to see how they measured the cause (blogging) and effect (leads).

Could you think about some companies that have been good at blogging in recent years, there the give credit to social media activities, for increased business?

Hopefully, your clients will listen to you! :) And thanks for pointing out that a blog doesn't have to be made up solely of written words. Infographics, podcasts, videos, etc. all count, too!

I think Marriott has done a great job with their blog "Marriott on the Move". The posts are written by Bill Marriott himself, so you get a really personal feel. Sure, Marriott would have plenty of business without its blog, but to me, that personal touch really makes them stand out.
