The professional web services industry is plagued by an expectations issue. Every business owner wants a website or web project that is fast, cheap, and high quality, who wouldn’t? The problem is this is simply impossible. You can really only do two at best, and even that is not easy to achieve, requiring hard work and long hours.

A multi million dollar has different resources, than a solopreneur! ;) I agree with your saying that you get what you pay for, but in this day and age, I can get more from Fiverr in some cases, compared with using an traditional European ad agency with high costs and fees.

Yes if you are on a tight budget it makes sense to look for high quality freelancers that have lowering operating costs than an agency. You do have to spend a bit more time project managing them but it is worth it if your budget is low.

How about taking the time, and making it good, by yourself? ;) Then it will be good and "cheap"... Joke aside, I am all for the division of labor, and I am in favor of outsourcing. How about Fiverr and other "free lancing" sites?

You get what you pay for. Those sites can be helpful especially when on a low budget but its unlikely they will take your business to the next level.

I don't see many multi million dollar companies using Fiverr or freelance websites for their advertising.
