A few years ago, I wrote a blog post on a content scraper who had used one of my posts verbatim on their website. They had never asked for my permission beforehand. So, the conversation took a sour turn very quickly.
Since then, several other bloggers have tried to steal my content, thinking I wouldn’t notice. I actually ended up filing a few DMCA takedown notices and won every time.
Many friends and fellow social media pros have had to deal with content scraping as well. That’s the reason for this post today. I don’t want you to waste hours looking for tools and resources to protect yourself.
The list below includes links to copyright information, plagiarism checkers, and useful posts.
