Ever since Google released its Penguin algorithm, website owners have been swimming in murky and dangerous waters. It is no longer enough to get lots of good quality links pointing to your site. you also have to avoid the naval mines* lying in ambush – links from sites that Google considers to be toxic. Consider this article to be your minesweeper.

And once again I will say this: since the Penguin updates Google's search has gotten worse. I find myself using Bing sometimes when I cannot find what I am searching for in Google (even if searching for a specific key phrases).

By the corporations, for the (huge) corporations!

I agree. I've found myself on several occasions lately going to Bing to search for info more so than Google.

That is the problem. You can leave Google for Bing, but it`s still a huge corporation.
