Dear Martin!

I work for the company, which develops online stores. We have clients who have blogs and update them regularly. And we have clients who do not have blogs in their stores.

As for me, I think the most obvious examples are the market leaders: for-business dot ebay dot com – very nice example of professional blog in eCommerce, amazon has a lot of blogs on different topics.

Useful content is a key parameter for successful SEO and a blog is an opportunity to provide it.

Thank you for your comment. You are absolutely right. Some online stores work in the market segment where there is not much news. But they need to update the content on the website regularly, showing that the store is "alive". The blog can help a lot because it is possible to plan the content strategy in advance and publish interesting relevant articles at any time you need.

Moreover, the blog gives more detailed information on the online store products. For example, it is not such a good idea to publish long text on the product pages. But any detailed analysis and descriptions on using certain products with examples, illustrations and useful tips are accepted on the blog.

Blogging gives a lot of advantages for the online store.
