You are right about Google Webmaster Tools, it is a must have resources for any website owner. If you did not have an account with GWT you would not have been notified by Google, and you would not be able to act upon the problem as quilckly.

What a serious bad happened to your site. So that's how Hostgator do their service? They wreck their own reputation. Thanks for sharing your experience ,to beware us, and advises for us to prevent from that kind of incident.
